Academy Standouts highlights the players who performed best in the most recent week of NA Academy play. I’ll discuss a few of the most noteworthy standouts, then list some other players whose performances caught my eye below.
Last week there were two Semifinals matches, so I’m going to highlight the standout player from each series.
Isles, Support, Cloud9 Academy
Much of the C9 Academy vs. FlyQuest Academy series was a support duel, with Isles and Dreams trading influence on the map and making big plays for their teams.
Isles prevailed in the end, picking up wins on Leona, Nautilus, and Alistar while dropping games on Karma and Nautilus.

| SFs | 4.6 | 56.9% | 16.7% | 1.41 | 0.42 |
Shoutouts to Darshan and Johnsun for also playing well in the series.
Eyla, Support, Team Liquid Academy
Eyla responded to Isles’ carry play in the other semifinal by engaging even harder, using a couple of Rell picks to go along with Alistar and Nautilus, and capping it off with a 1/0/13 game on Braum.
The amount of time Eyla spent ganking mid lane to help out Haeri made it pretty obvious that Eyla has been studying under CoreJJ, and his 5v5 engages were series-winning.

| SFs | 3.4 | 62.8% | 20.3% | 1.24 | 0.23 |
Oceanic Supports, man.
Additional shoutouts to Luger and Jenkins for their work in the series.
